Whale watching eco-tour
This excursion is bookable from July 20th until November 20th.
In French Polynesia, we have the chance to have the visit of the humpback whales (Megaptera) from July to November.
With Mori Ora, you take part of a respectful adventure to meet the wildlife of the pacific Ocean. Come on board of Mori Ora Piti, our comfort and stable motor boat, with experienced and qualified guide and captain that will share their passion of the ocean. Your experience will be unique with only 6 persons on board.
Other marine mammals can be encountered such as spinner dolphins, rough-toothed dolphins, grand dolphins, pilot whales, sperm whales, etc.
The rendez-vous is 30min before the boat departure to share with you our scientifical knowledge of the marine mammal situation in the South Pacific.
Departure : 9:30 AM (day tour) or 1:45 PM (afternoon tour)
Duration between 3 and 4 hours depending on the weather conditions and the animals behavior.

The boat is a semi-rigid motor boat of 24 feet, with a 200 horse motor engine. Spacious and comfort. Up to 6 persons allowed.
Lagoon snorkeling excursion
Discover the amazing underwater life of Moorea's lagoon: sting rays, eagle rays, black tip sharks, tropical fishes, green see turtles, hawksbill turtle, etc.
Dive into the crystal blue clear water and be surprised by what the nature will offer you. Enjoy the view on the raw mountain pics of the island, discover the beauty of the nature and its Tahitian legends.

Sunset sailing
Ready to share a romantic moment? or simply become a captain for a moment?
Hop aboard on Mori Ora for this breathtaking experience: trim the sails and enjoy the Polynesian sunset from the Ocean.
Your captain JP will share with you how to trim the sails, steer the boat, keep the vessel on a heading, do marine knots. You will learn the basic of sailing a monohull and experience the sailor's life for a moment, while enjoying the stunning view on Moorea with sunset colors. You can also just simply enjoy the journey and let the crew bring you discover our nature's beauty.
The ocean can be full of surprises and if nature is playful, we might meet incredible marine life such as dolphins, marine birds chasing fishes or whales.
Departure: 3-4PM at the Opunohu's marina.
Return: about 30min after sunset at the Opunohu's marina.

The boat is moored in the middle of the wild Opunohu's bay surrounded by lush green submits of Moorea. Sleep under the magnificient sky full of stars, in a remote location. Calm and resourcing nights on board for a disconnection.
Mori Ora has 2 cabins open for booking:
- captains cabin: spacious and aerated at the front of the boat with its over head window to sleep under the stars.
- sailors cabin at the rear starboard of the boat to experience the sailor's life.
